Project Scope

To design a console hinge within an already established environment.

Problem / Challenge

The environment we were working with did not allow for single pivot hinge due to the lid and console base geometry.

Solution

We designed and built a 4-bar linkage hinge which lifts then rotates the lid allowing access to the bin, while meeting all performance and loading criteria necessary.
