We’ve all heard the reports on millennials dissatisfaction in the workplace: They want to feel like they have rewarding career, one where there’s room to grow and they are making a difference.
One recent report suggests that the millennials are overlooking one career choice that offers everything they want and more: manufacturing.
A recent article in Manufacturing Magazine said that even though manufacturing careers offer millennials flexible work schedules, well paying positions, lower schooling costs and the opportunity to be a part of a changing technological and social landscape, millennials don’t even consider manufacturing as a career option.
“One of the best ways to combat this issue is by putting more emphasis on what a great industry it is for young people to enter,” the article stated. “The work is not only well paying, but rewarding.”
